Robert J. Kennedy

RUTLAND Robert J. Kennedy, 68, of Rutland, died on September 17, 2024 at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Robert was born on February 7, 1956 in Rutland, VT, the son of John C. Red and Norma (Kellogg) Kennedy.

Robert graduated from Mount St. Joseph in 1974 and Castleton State College.
He married Debra (Button) on August 11, 1979.
He worked as a sales manager where he retired at Colgate Palmolive after an earlier career with Keebler.
He enjoyed golf, hockey, football, Boston teams, and cheering on any team his grandsons were on. He loved making people laugh, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Debra Kennedy; son Sean Kennedy and his wife Stephanie and two sons Brady and Logan, daughter Kelli Foster and her husband Steve and two sons Declan and Callum; brother Donald Kennedy and wife Linda and two nephews Ben & Tom Kennedy.
He was predeceased by both parents John & Norma.

A celebration of life will be held on October 3, 2024, from 4-7pm at the Rutland Country Club 275 Grove St., Rutland, VT.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clifford Funeral Home.
