Ronald G. Grande Sr.

Chittenden, VT - Ronald G. Grande, 90, of Chittenden died peacefully Saturday December 21st, 2024 surrounded by family.

He was born on October 28, 1934 in Teaneck, NJ the son of Joseph and Theresa (Cometot) Grande.

Ronald attended grammar and high school in Englewood Cliffs, NJ where he enjoyed playing football, and was a graduate of Bowling Green State Univeristy in Ohio with a teaching degree.

He married Margaret Rutz on May 30th, 1962 in New Jersey.

Ronald retired as a butcher for Shop Rite in West Milford, NJ.

He enjoyed tinkering around the house on projects, going out to eat, shopping, and traveling.

Survivors include his daughter Helena Grande Tuliper of Pittsford, VT; a son Ronald G. Grande Jr. of Rutland, VT; a granddaughter Stephanie Burch of Pittsford, VT, and a grandson Kyle Burch of Plymouth, MN.

He is predeceased by both his parents, his wife Margaret in 2015; and his granddaughter Jacqueline Burch in 2019.

There will be no calling hours.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday December 27, 2024 at Clifford Funeral Home.

A burial will at Saint Alphonsus Cemetery in the spring.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rutland County Humane Society in Pittsford, VT.
