Sheila Alice "Sam" Mcmorrow

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Sheila Alice McMorrow, 68, affectionately known as Sam, on Thursday, April 18, 2024 after a short battle with cancer and illness. Mom was born March 26, 1956, the daughter of Robert P. and Alice (Lewis) McMorrow.

Sam grew up in Poultney, VT. She attended Poultney Elementary School and graduated Poultney High School Class of 1974.

Sam was a kind and loving soul. She was a creative person and skilled artist, a "Jack of all trades but a master of none". A carpenter, a painter, a photographer, just to name a few. She was a hard worker, and a very strong and independent woman. She was a lover of all horror movies and Stephen king books.

Sam is survived by her daughter Sydney McMorrow and her daughter Sierra McMorrow; as well as her son Keegan Duprey and his son Gauge Duprey; her sister Bonnie Darling and her children Bridget, Kyle and Eric; her sister-in-law Maryellen (Tracy) McMorrow and her children Robert, Michael, Matthew, Steven, Elizabeth and Mary Margaret; her ex-brother-in-law Chris Nolan and his children Brenna and All; and the father of her children Steve Duprey.

Sam is predeceased by her parents as well as her brother R. Joseph McMorrow, her sister Laurie A. McMorrow-Nolan and her brother-in-law Peter Darling.

Per Sam's wishes there will be no services. Donations in her name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
