Shirley G. Lafley

Shirley G. (Grover) Lafley, 84, of Rutland, VT died on October 17, 2024 in her home at The Maples after a long illness.

Shirley was born on July 30, 1940 in Bennington, VT, the daughter of Albert and Bertha (Slason) Grover. She attended school in Arlington, VT. She was a member of St. Peter’s Church. She worked as an office manager for VT Legal Aid. She enjoyed reading, long walks, and friend and family gatherings.

Survivors include her son Michael Regimbald of Rutland; daughters Carol (Dale) Wood of Rutland, Debra Bristol of Rutland, and Lori Warner of Fair Haven; brother Duane Grover of CO; sister Elsie Ferman; and longtime partner, Ralph Crippen.

She was predeceased by both parents; son Richard Regimbald Jr.; and brother Raymond Grover.

A service will be held on Tuesday October 22, 2024, at 11:00am at Clifford Funeral Home. A burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Rutland, VT.  Following the burial, A celebration of life will be held at the Fair Haven American legion, 72 S. Main St., Fairhaven, VT 05743
