Stephen L. Chambers

Stephen L. Chambers, 70, died Sept. 20, 2021 at his home.

He was born in Springfield, May 13, 1951 son of Richard and Phyllis (Brown) Chambers.

Stephen was employed by J & L Machine Shop in Springfield. He also worked at General Electric Co. for 17 years as a toolmaker but was forced to retire early due to Multiple Sclerosis.

He was a member of The Brick Church of North Clarendon.

Stephen enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting and the Boston Red Sox.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Gloria (French) Chambers; two sons, Zachery Chambers of Essex Jct. and Jason Chambers of North Clarendon; a daughter, Vicki Wolinksy of Essex Jct.; four brothers, Richard Chambers Jr. of Cleremont, FL, Andrew Chambers of North Clarendon, Phillip Chambers of Poultney and Anthony Chambers of Fair Haven; two sisters, Diane Tyrrell of Proctorsville and Sue Morin of Springfield; six grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 am Saturday Oct. 2, 2021 at The Brick Church in North Clarendon.
