Thomas Pawlusiak
Thomas Herbert Pawlusiak, 66, of Castleton passed away Tuesday June 21, 2016 at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Rutland January 25, 1950 the son of Francis and Charlotte (Herbert) Pawlusiak.
Tom was a graduate of West Rutland High School class of 1967 and married his high school sweetheart Colleen Jean Gray on May 2, 1970.
Thomas was employed as a hydro mechanic at CVPS for over 30 years.
He was a member of IBEW and St. Bridget’s Church.
Tom was an avid sports watcher, especially his grandson’s team. He also enjoyed watching his Oakland Raiders and attending games at Rutgers University.
Tom was a farmer at heart and enjoyed raising beef cattle until 2013.
He was Mr. Fix-It, puttering around the garage, yard and working in his garden.
He also enjoyed his March Madness time in sunny Florida.
He is survived by his wife Colleen Pawlusiak of Castleton, his son Michael T. Pawlusiak and his wife Jamie of Piscataway, NJ; his son-in-law Timothy Harte, three grandsons, Thomas J. Pawlusiak, Jeffrey Harte and Matthew Harte; one brother, Francis J. Pawlusiak of Ira, three sisters, Elizabeth J. Pawlusiak, Linda A. Pawlusiak and Christine M. Pawlusiak of Ira, a sister-in-law Susan Jepson and her husband Raymond and his mother-in-law Vida Gray, nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Fritz and Charlotte, his daughter, Michelle P. Harte and his father-in-law Fred Gray.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00pm at Mullin-Clifford Funeral Home in West Rutland
Funeral services will be held Friday June 24, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Bridget’s Church in West Rutland. Officiating will be Rev. Romanus Igweonu, Pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Bridget’s Cemetery.
