Wallace Taylor

Wallace “Wally” J. Taylor, aged 79, of Rutland, passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2025, in the comfort of his home. Born on January 22, 1946, in Rutland, he was the beloved son of Harold and Helen (Sabotka) Taylor.

Wallace is survived by his son, Paul Taylor of Stormville, NY. He is also remembered fondly by his three siblings: Irene Turco of Rutland, Grover Taylor of Rutland, and Linda Taylor of Ludlow. His loving partner, Marcia Barker of Granville, NY, will also carry the cherished memories of their time together. Wallace was a treasured uncle to his nephews: John Turco, Darren Turco, Grover Taylor, Bruce Taylor Jr and Shaun Taylor. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Taylor.

A devoted enthusiast, Wallace had a passion for hunting, which he pursued with great enthusiasm. His love for collecting and tinkering with cars and trucks was a testament to his hands-on approach to life. He had a special affection for animals, particularly cats, and often spoke of the joy they brought him.

Arrangements for calling hours and burial will be determined in May of 2026 and are being handled by Clifford Funeral Home. Wallace's legacy will be remembered by many, and his impact on those who knew him will endure through the stories and memories shared in his honor.
