William L. Lawson

William L. Lawson, 65, of Rutland, died on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, at his residence.

He was a history buff and world renowned in the “Wargamer” community where he was considered not only a formidable opponent, but also as an advocate and mentor for new gamers.

He was a valued member of the lift operations team at Killington for many years prior to his illness.

He was born on June 27, 1956, to Kenneth and Shirley (O’Grady) Lawson. William is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth, and husband Adam Karle; two grandchildren, Maya and Rhys; two brothers, Craig Lawson and Kenneth Lawson; two sisters, Sharon Maxwell and Eileen Lawson.

William is predeceased by his parents, and a sister, Lisa Lawson.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
