William Spanos

William A. Spanos, 85, of Mendon, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 1, 2016
He was born on the Greek Island of Cyprus June 29, 1931 the son of Aris and Maritsa Spanos.
William was an engineer with Raytheon Industries and later was owner of Zorbas Tavern in Killington.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife of 64 year Mary Spanos of Mendon, a daughter Helen Ann Skaleris of Concord, NH; three sons Christos Spanos of Derry, NH, Aris Spanos of Mendon and Nicholas Spanos of Los Angeles, CA, one sister Georgoula Mouzouris of Cyprus, and 7 grandchildren several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday December 6, from 4:00to 7:00pm at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 12:30pm at Westlawn Cemetery in Lowell, MA
