Yolanda M. Lavalley

Yolanda M (Santoro) LaValley , 98, of Rutland, VT died on October 18, 2024

Yolanda was born on March 1, 1926 in Proctor, VT, the daughter of Joseph and Rosina (Barletta) Santoro. She was one of five siblings, Anthony, Ralph, Carmen, and Leonora.
After graduating from Proctor High School she devoted her time to the family business as Bookkeeper for B&B Beverage in Rutland, VT.

In 1981 Yolanda's Husband, Alvin Cioffi, died while skiing with her at Pico Peak. They were married 32 years. They loved to ski and both were Instructors at Pico Peak.
Their most enjoyable ski trip was to Innsbruck, Austria in 1971.

In 1985 she married Francis LaValley who passed away October 15, 2013.  For many years Yolanda and Francis enjoyed winters in Florida and Square dancing.
They were members of the Cast-Offs Square Dancing Club and performed on Channel 3 TV for the "Across The Fence" show.

In Florida Yolanda enjoyed Bowling (winning several trophies), Line Dancing, Clogging and listening to Opera, Johnny Cash, and Gospel music.
She rarely missed watching Tennis, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning on TV.  She was an avid Football fan.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. Her Pizza was famous.

Survivors include her daughter Tia Fineberg (Greg) , Son Rod Cioffi (Diane), Step Daughter Lynn LaValley Jennings
Grandchildren Joben Fineberg (Sabrina), Nate Fineberg, Adrainne Deranian (Greg), Kristen Cioffi, Lauren Jennings, Michael Jennings ( Yuna)
Great Grandchildren Nash Fineberg, Shea Fineberg, Nico Deranian, Christian Deranian, Penelope Cioffi, Kai Jennings

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ The King School.

In honoring Yolanda's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. A private burial will be held at a later date.
